Most of the children arrive at the village malnourished and with one set of clothes. The clothes they wear there are donated by international organizations. Huy doesn't mind that his coat doesn't quite fit or that it isn't made by Nike. Because of his mental state, he doesn't know whether his clothes are in style. He just knows his stomach no longer growls and he has many friends to live with. Huy has three siblings at home with the same difficulties.

A debate continues in the scientific community over whether Agent Orange contamination causes mental retardation.
